King Penguins, South Georgia Island, 2015

While on assignment in South Georgia, I stood, disbelievingly, before one of the greatest natural sights my eyes have ever seen: hundreds of thousands of King Penguins as far as the eye could see. I never knew such a place existed. My senses were overwhelmed with sights, sounds, and smells. How could a camera capture such a sight? I decided to focus on the detail…to zoom in with a long lens and compress the frenzy of the scene into one panorama filled with incredible penguin life. Where’s Waldo? Shot while on assignment for National Geographic.
